Join us as we attempt to preserve and restore this unique and iconic bay in St. Johns, Grenada.
In 2014, there was no path from the main road to the bay and the 'Scheme', constructed to carry the water from the Concord River to the sea was showing signs of severe damage.
The 'scheme ' also became a useful community asset
for the residents, fishermen and especially the children.
The Marigot Bay Restoration Society was formed
to raise funds to build a path and rebuild the 'Scheme'.
After repeated presentations to the relevant
Government Department, a path was built.
However, this path did not include a Handrail.
This is a severe limitation which means that most of Marigot Bay residents are unable to use this path.Th e Society intends to continue to raise funds to add a Handrail and to repair the Scheme.
Volunteers and Donations required to make this happen.
So, please help us by contributing on our 'Just Giving' Site or giving directly to one of the Committee Members or to our Bank Account in Grenada, held at Scotiabank (The Bank of Nova Scotia,Halifax Street , St. Georges, Grenada). Account Number :3009134
